Preschool "Graduation"

On May 2nd Mason had his preschool "graduation". He still has another year of preschool before he actually graduates and moves on to Kindergarten, but we celebrated nonetheless. He learned so much this year and absolutely loved going to school. Miss Amber is an awesome teacher and Mason really loves her. They went on fun field trips, did awesome art and science projects, learned their letters (with sounds), numbers, months, and days of the weeks. They also learned the alphabet in sign language among other things. Mason left the school year reading and doing simple math. He really enjoys learning and I love that about him. Most nights, while tucking him in, he wants to discuss things like how bacteria and viruses work, what causes meteor showers, why certain bugs or animals "are on the earth", and other deep 4 year old thoughts. I hope he always has this love for learning.

Pre-ceremony excitement.

Amber put together a cute slide show of pictures from the year. Then she sent us all home with a copy. She's great.

 Goofy kid.

Some sign language action.

Amber wrote poems about each of the kids. They were really cute and really showed how much she loves them.
This is the poem she wrote about Mason:

I am Excited and Friendly
I wonder when the fun begins
I hear the lure of the toy room
I see the end goal and reach it
I want to stay busy
I am Excited and Friendly

I pretend I am a doctor
I feel the joy of following directions
I touch the lives of everyone by my smile
I worry when others don't listen
I cry when friends don't share

I am Excited and Friendly
I understand I am liked by my friends
I say and speak the truth
I dream about all kinds of things
I try to listen
I hope learning will be fun everyday

I am Excited and Friendly

She had the graduation a bit early to ensure it happened before she had her baby. Luckily she had her baby girl the day after the last day of preschool. Great timing.

Sage thought her brother was pretty cool and took a moment from running around like a mad woman to give him a hug. She may or may not have also ran up to give him a huge in the middle of the program. She really loves her brother.

Am I a creeper because I secretly want to be in the back of the room cheering for your kids and watching them be cute during these milestones? You don't have to answer that question...
