While the kids and I stayed an extra week in Arizona, Nic went to the RSNA conference in Chicago. This is the biggest medical conference in the world, and they actually built a huge conference center just for this meeting. Nic wasn't presenting any research, so the trip really ended up being a lone vacation for him. He got to do a lot of sight seeing (albeit by himself) and got to experience Chicago. He went to the aquarium, an awesome planetarium, a Bears game, the Sears Tower, and most of the other Chicago highlights. He also had a Chicago style hotdog and pizza.
Here is his trip via his phone pictures.
His Bear's game experience was actually pretty cool. Last minute he decided to go to a game (the stadium is just a few blocks from the conference center). By the time he got there the game had started, but he immediately was approached by a scalper who sold him one ticket to sit an executive suite. For $50. So Nic got to sit indoors (awesome for a November game in Chicago), eat unlimited food and drink unlimited drink, and have an unlimited selection from the dessert cart. All because he was a few minutes late to the game and he was alone. Pretty sweet deal.
