With Nic studying for boards, the kids and I are always eager to find something fun to do on Saturdays to break up the monotony of the week. On March 2nd it was Dr. Seuss' birthday and Discovery Gateway was having a party. We bought a 3 month pass in January, so we decided to head over and check it out.
Sage fell asleep on the way there. It was actually a good thing. This girl goes until she crashes.
They had a cute photo area set up. Complete with props. None of which my kids wanted to use.
They had hats to color.
And bookmarks.
And Cat in the Hat showed up. Sage was a little leery of him (She takes after her mom. I don't like mascots. Who knows who is lurking behind that costume.) She was willing to pose for a picture only if I would hold her. And as you can see, she wasn't sold. After he left, however, she said to me, "Mommy, Cat in the Hat is actually very nice." Then she proceeded to tell everyone in the room her new discovery. Cat in the Hat is actually quite nice. Its the creepy person underneath that I would be concerned with.
After the party we stopped by the museum to play for a bit.
(She requested to be buried.)
